There is no central application system: you apply to each institution directly. Programmes usually start: Fall semester (August–September).

The essentials

Application system: None — apply to each institution on its own website.
When programmes start: Fall semester (August–September).
International applicants: International students apply directly to each institution; at Qatar University they apply in a dedicated international-student window.
Language: An English test for English-taught programmes; Qatar University also places new students with the ACCUPLACER test on arrival.

Key dates

Qatar University publishes an international-student timeline each year. For Fall 2026 the undergraduate application ran 1–25 March 2026, documents and the visa application were due 26 March and decisions were posted on 19 May; the Fall 2027 timeline was not yet published.

Your checklist

1.Choose a programme at Qatar University or another institution in Qatar.
2.Check the admission requirements for your school certificate and the English requirement.
3.Apply online in the international application window, with the International Admission Scholarship application if you want one.
4.Upload your documents and pay the application fee by the deadline.
5.If you are self-funded, start the student visa application at the same time, as Qatar University's timeline requires.
6.Receive the admission decision in your online application account.
7.Arrange housing, travel to Doha and attend the placement tests and orientation.
