Study abroad

English-taught programmes worldwide: bachelor's and master's study in English

5,981 programmes recorded as taught fully or partly in English, plus 933 Thai programmes labelled international, at 445 universities and colleges in Belgium (Flanders), Finland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania and Thailand, searchable together. Finland's rows are application options, so one degree can appear once per admission route. Each country is here because its official data records the language each programme is taught in (Thailand instead labels its international programmes). Countries whose open data doesn't record it aren't listed, so a country missing from this page may still teach in English. The UK, the US and other English-speaking countries are covered in their own sections.

Each country counts differently

Some sources record English as the only language, some as one of several. Belgium goes by where most enrolments are, and Thailand uses a label. Every row keeps its country's own definition, level name and data year. Nothing is ranked, converted between currencies or compared across countries. The list is sorted by country, then programme name.

How levels are grouped

The level filter puts every country's own level into Bachelor's, Master's or Other. Long- and single-cycle master's degrees entered straight from school (Italy, Poland, Norway's 5-year master's) and Flemish advanced master's count as Master's. Finland files some combined bachelor's-and-master's options under the master's level and others under the bachelor's, and they are grouped as filed. Associate degrees, post-master's, one-year programmes, advanced bachelor's and doctorates count as Other. The country's own label is always shown next to the group.

Language data that isn't a programme list

  • Kazakhstan publishes how many students at each university are taught in Kazakh, Russian or English, but not which programmes. That data is on the Kazakhstan pages, not in this list.
  • Austria's programme register has no language of instruction, so its programmes aren't listed here.
