University of Aleppo

Each figure is the minimum percentage the ministry requires before an applicant may list that option in the 2026/27 admission round. It is set before the round; it is not the mark of the last student admitted. Places go to the highest-ranked applicants, so a popular option can fill well above its minimum — meeting it lets you apply, nothing more.

The percentage is the ministry's: in the scientific stream, the baccalaureate total out of 2,400 after dropping the lower of the two foreign-language marks; in the literary stream, the total out of 2,200 worked out the same way.

General (عام) places are the state-funded round at public universities; parallel (موازي) places are fee-paying places at the same universities, with their own, lower minimums. Private universities take applicants through the ministry's separate private-university round, with one minimum per programme.

Options marked “residents of …” are reserved for applicants from that governorate (لأبناء …); the matching “all governorates” (محافظات) option at the same place is open to everyone.

Language departments and the specialised (تخصصي) science options rank applicants on one subject mark, not on the total; their figure is the minimum percentage in that subject, so they are listed apart and never compared with your total.

Public universities admit to medicine, dentistry and pharmacy through a common preparatory year, listed once for the university of the applicant's choice. The Council of Higher Education has decided to abolish the preparatory year from 2027/28.

The announcements name a place of study, not always a university. Where the place is the seat city of a public university on the ministry's register, we file the option under that university; faculties elsewhere (Daraa, Suwayda, Quneitra, Al-Hasakah, Raqqa, Qamishli, Azaz, Afrin, Manbij and other towns) are listed by place, because the table doesn't say which university runs them.

Architecture, fine arts, music, physical education, political science and four Damascus health-sciences specialisms (speech therapy, audiology, occupational therapy and clinical psychology), and some private-university programmes, hold an aptitude test, audition or interview that must be passed before the option can be listed. They are shown with their minimum, never as options you can list.
