Checked on 20 October 2026 against the official sources listed below.
The essentials
- Application system
- None β apply to each institution on its own website.
- When programmes start
- October.
- International applicants
- Non-EU students apply directly to the university; admission is completed when the Ministry of Education issues a Letter of Acceptance to Studies, which supports the visa.
- Language
- Romanian at B1 (or a completed preparatory year) for Romanian-taught programmes; set by the university for programmes in other languages.
Key dates
There is no national deadline: each university sets its own admission calendar, usually in spring and summer. The Ministry issues the letter of acceptance within 30 working days of receiving a complete file, so non-EU applicants should apply early.
The dates for the next intake haven't been published yet. We add them once the official source does.
