At the University of Dhaka, a foreign applicant's application must reach the Registrar's office by 31 December of the year of applying; other universities set their own dates.

Your checklist

1.Choose a university and programme; check the University Grants Commission's lists that it is approved.
2.Have your certificates and transcripts notarised by your own country's foreign ministry.
3.Submit the application form in triplicate to the Ministry of Education, through a Bangladesh mission in your country or your country's mission in Bangladesh.
4.The university's equivalence committee checks your eligibility and the department gives its opinion.
5.Once the university approves, the Ministry of Education issues a no-objection certificate.
6.Pay the fees and enrol.
