Your checklist

The usual steps for an international student applying to a bachelor's in Algeria, in order. Tick them off as you go — your ticks stay in this browser, with no account.

.Choose an institution and programme on the Study in Algeria platform; each institution sets aside a number of places for foreign students every year.
.Check the language of teaching — Arabic, French or English depending on the field. Students who don't master it take an intensive course at their institution's language centre (CEIL).
.Prepare your file: your baccalaureate or equivalent diploma and your transcript, each with a certified translation, a nationality certificate, a copy of your passport's first page, a motivation letter, at least one recommendation letter, a medical certificate and a recent photo.
.Create an account on the platform and submit your application within the application window.
.The ministry authenticates your documents; its equivalence service issues a certificate of equivalence for your diploma and a document converting your grades to the Algerian scale.
.The institution you chose reviews your file against the programme and the places it has.
.If you are admitted, apply for a student visa, then pay the tuition fee to the institution's account (straight away if you need no visa or already hold one) and upload the receipt to the platform.
.Complete your administrative and academic registration at the institution.
