The 2026/27 rounds opened on 4 October 2026 (Arab and foreign students: Announcement No. 9) and were extended to 26 October 2026 at 3 pm. Results are published on the admission platform afterwards; the ministry gives no date for them in advance.

Your checklist

The usual steps for an international student applying to a bachelor's in Syria, in order. Tick them off as you go — your ticks stay in this browser, with no account.

1.Holders of a non-Syrian secondary certificate: have it declared equivalent, and your average entered, at the examinations department of any governorate's education directorate.
2.Read the ministry's announcement for your round — Arab and foreign students have their own (No. 9) — and the minimums for your stream.
3.Check you meet the minimum for each option: for foreign students 80% for the medical preparatory year, 75% for engineering, 60% for agriculture, veterinary medicine and nursing, 50% for the rest.
4.Sit any aptitude test, interview or audition first (architecture, fine arts, music, physical education, political science and some health sciences).
5.Apply online on the ministry's admission platform, uploading every required document, and list your options in order of preference.
6.List enough options: an applicant whose choices are all refused is not placed afterwards.
7.When results are published, complete registration with the original documents at the university.
8.Pay the annual fee in US dollars (US$2,000–5,000 by faculty for Arab and foreign students) plus the one-off US$1,000 registration fee.
