Checked on 23 October 2026 against the official sources listed below.

The essentials

Application system: DreamApply (Study in Estonia)Study in Estonia's online admission platform; one application can cover several Estonian universities and programmes. Each university decides on its own applicants and sets its own deadlines.
When programmes start: Each university gives the start date with the programme (Study in Estonia's page states no intake months).
International applicants: International applicants apply online through DreamApply, Study in Estonia's platform, and each university decides. At public institutions, full-time study on an Estonian-language programme is free for students who keep up their credits; programmes taught in other languages, including English, may charge fees set by each institution.
Language: English (IELTS, TOEFL or similar) for English-taught programmes; Estonian for Estonian-taught ones.

Key dates

Dates for autumn 2027 entry weren't published when we checked. Each university sets its own deadlines, often earlier for applicants from outside the EU, and lists them on its website and in DreamApply.

The dates for the next intake haven't been published yet. We add them once the official source does.

Your checklist

The usual steps for an international student applying to a bachelor's in Estonia, in order. Tick them off as you go — your ticks stay in this browser, with no account.

1.Find a programme on Study in Estonia or DreamApply, and read the programme's own entry requirements on the university's website.
2.Check that your school-leaving qualification is accepted for admission, and what documents and tests the programme asks for (English test, entrance test, interview or portfolio).
3.Take an English test if the programme needs one (IELTS, TOEFL and other well-known tests are accepted).
4.Apply online through DreamApply before the university's deadline; most universities charge an application fee (up to about €120).
5.Send the documents the university asks for — often certified copies of your diplomas — so that they arrive before the deadline.
6.Accept your offer; the university then issues your acceptance documents.
7.Students from outside the EU: apply for a visa and a temporary residence permit for study with those documents.
