Key dates

Add all these dates to my calendar (.ics)

There is no central system: each university admits directly. These are UNAH's dates (the largest university); document validation runs 30 November–9 December 2026 and digital credentials are emailed on 17–18 December. Classes start in May 2027; the student record is then created with UNAH's registry on dates it sets. Other universities publish their own calendars.

Your checklist

The usual steps for an international student applying to a bachelor's in Honduras, in order. Tick them off as you go — your ticks stay in this browser, with no account.

1.Choose a university and programme; each university admits directly and sets its own requirements.
2.For UNAH, take the online vocational test on the admissions site — it is required before you can register.
3.Register online for UNAH's admission test (PHUMA) with a personal email address, a recent passport-style digital photo on a white background and an image of your identity document.
4.Pay the test fee at one of the listed banks or online, even before your documents are validated.
5.Watch your email for the validation of your documents, then print the digital credential you are sent.
6.Sit the PHUMA — in person if you live in Honduras, online if you live abroad; programmes in the health area also have a complementary test.
7.Check your result and the programme you were admitted to; programmes with limited places publish a ranking later.
8.Create your student record with UNAH's registry, and ask it which legalisation your foreign school-leaving certificate needs.
9.Arrange a residence status for study with Honduras's migration authority before classes start.
