Your checklist

The usual steps for an international student applying to a bachelor's in Niger, in order. Tick them off as you go — your ticks stay in this browser, with no account.

.Choose a university or grande école; each admits its own students, and there is no national application system.
.If your school-leaving diploma is not Nigerien, have it recognised as equivalent to the baccalauréat — the university asks for the diploma or a title admitted as equivalent.
.At Abdou Moumouni University, pre-register online in the window it announces, choosing up to three programmes in order of preference.
.Prepare your file: a signed handwritten application to the Rector naming three programmes in order of preference, a birth certificate, a certificate of nationality, a certified copy of your diploma, your transcript, two passport photos, and a medical certificate for medical studies.
.Hand in the file at the university's Service central de la scolarité (at Abdou Moumouni, in the École normale supérieure).
.Wait for the faculty or school to decide; it selects applicants and sends its list to the Service central de la scolarité.
.If you are admitted, complete both the administrative and the academic registration, and pay the registration fee. The fee depends on your nationality and your faculty.
.Ask Niger's embassy or consulate about the visa and residence you need to study.
