🇬🇳 46 institutions (the ministry's count) · 61,502 first-cycle students · 2022/23
Higher education in Guinea — 83.8% of first-cycle students study at a public institution.
Every public institution in the ministry's tables with its state-bursary and fee-paying students, programmes, graduates and teaching staff, and every private one with its students and accredited programmes — 50 institutions named in the Ministry of Higher Education's statistical yearbook for 2022/23, which counts 46 (18 public, 28 private).

What it costs, and what isn't here
Fees are not in the yearbook, and we found no official fee schedule for first-cycle study or for international students. Ask each institution.
Figures per institution are for first-cycle students (licence or equivalent) in the 2022-23 academic year. Master's and doctoral students are published only by sector and region, except doctoral students at three public institutions.
The ministry's census reached 18 public and 26 private institutions (75 of 90 establishments, research centres and libraries included); those it didn't reach are, it says, private institutions no longer operating or no longer in the higher-education system. It also says that missing answers were completed from earlier years' data, so some figures may be carried forward. The yearbook counts 28 private institutions, names 26 on its own list, and gives student figures for 25 — 6 of them not on that list.
No entry scores, fees or graduate outcomes are published per institution, so this is a directory, not a matcher. The yearbook's figures are for 2022-23; it was the latest edition on the Institut national de la statistique's site on 23 October 2026.
The 18 public institutions
The yearbook splits public institutions' students into “boursiers” — students holding a state bursary — and “formation payante” (fee-paying study). Every student at a private institution is fee-paying. This is not a scholarship to study abroad: Guinean students on state bursaries abroad are counted separately in the yearbook and are not shown here. Shares of women are ours; the yearbook gives a men-per-woman parity ratio.

Programmes are counts of first-cycle programmes as the yearbook gives them, not a list: how many each institution teaches and how many are accredited by ANAQ, the national quality-assurance agency set up in 2017. An accreditation counted in 2022-23 may since have lapsed or been renewed — this is not a statement of current status. Graduates are those of 2022 (the yearbook's “diplômés de l'année 2022”) — a different year from the students.
Private institutions (32)
9,994 first-cycle students in 2022/23, all fee-paying, at the 25 private institutions with student figures. Listed are every private institution on the yearbook's own list or in any of its tables; those with no figures are at the end. Private institutions have no pages of their own here — the yearbook gives each only a few figures, all of them in this table.
Names are the yearbook's own, in French, from the 2022-23 edition's list of institutions; for 5 institutions that are in its tables but not on that list, from the 2021-22 or 2020-21 edition's list. KAC is in no edition's list and is shown as the yearbook writes it. English names of public institutions are our translations. Being listed is not a statement about accreditation.

1,253 first-cycle students (2.0%) are citizens of other countries, in 2022/23: 1,159 at private institutions and 94 at public ones.
Citizenship is published for the country as a whole, not per institution. Citizens of other countries are not necessarily students who came to Guinea to study.
