What this covers, and what it doesn't

CNAQ, Mozambique's higher-education quality agency, counts 59 higher-education institutions operating in 2024. Its 2024 statistics brochure — the only source of this section — names 46 institutions in its evaluations from 2019 to 2024; some of those may have closed, merged or changed name since, and institutions it has not evaluated are not named at all. The ministry's list of institutions could not be reached, so an institution's absence from this page says nothing about it.

Each line is one course CNAQ evaluated in 2024, at one location, in one mode: the same degree taught by day and in the evening is evaluated, and counted, twice. It is not the institution's full list of courses — only those evaluated in 2024. A "new course" was evaluated before it starts (prior accreditation) and may not yet be taught. The score is CNAQ's overall quantitative score out of 100. Of the 230 courses evaluated in 2024, 175 were new courses.

Courses and institutions are evaluated separately. An accredited course does not make its institution accredited: the institutional result shown is CNAQ's own institutional evaluation, 2019–2024, with the year it was listed under. CNAQ's brochure explains its three levels as full accreditation for 5 years (Excelente), conditional accreditation for 3 years (Bom) and conditional accreditation for 2 years (the level it calls sufficient, listed as Satisfatório com muitas reservas). It gives no dates, so none are shown here.

No enrolment, fees, admission requirements or graduate outcomes are published per institution as open data, and course evaluations from before 2024 are not included.
