Which Swedish programmes are within reach?
We compare your merit rating, your Högskoleprovet result, or both, with the lowest value admitted to each of 1,698 programme application options at Swedish universities and university colleges in the second selection round for autumn 2026 (HT 2026).
Each figure is the lowest merit rating — or the lowest Högskoleprovet result — among the applicants admitted in one selection group in the second selection round (urval 2) for autumn 2026. It is what that round's competition produced, not a requirement: it moves every year with who applies and how many places there are, and it is not a prediction for the next round. Where applicants tie at that figure, the university may separate them with a test such as the Högskoleprovet, with interviews or by lot. Selection only happens among applicants who are eligible. You must meet the general entry requirements and any specific subject requirements for the programme (behörighet), and those are not in this data — check them on Antagning.se or the university's own page.
Which grade group are you in?
Places are shared between selection groups: normally at least a third on school grades and at least a third on the Högskoleprovet. In the grade selection, BI (the direct group) is for applicants whose completed upper-secondary grades make them eligible without supplementary grades; BII (the supplement group) is for those who supplemented their grades afterwards to become eligible. HP ranks applicants on their Högskoleprovet result alone. An applicant is considered in every group they qualify for, which is why a programme can be in reach through one group and not another. Applicants with foreign upper-secondary grades are placed in BI unless they supplemented for more than general eligibility. If you supplemented only to raise your merit rating, UHR says you are considered in both grade groups, so run the quiz once for each. Antagning.se explains the rules for your own background.
Leave it empty if you have no valid result. A programme's band is the more favourable of the groups you give a number for, and each card says which group that was.
BI and BII are ranked on the merit rating (meritvärde): the grade average plus any merit points, up to 22.5. HP is ranked on the Högskoleprovet result, which runs up to 2.0; UHR says a result must be at least 0.05 and at most eight years old to count. The two scales are never compared with each other.
