Each figure is the mean ORT main-test score of the students admitted, as published by the testing centre. It is an average, not a cut-off: by definition many of those admitted scored below it. The lowest score admitted is shown for reference only — the report notes that a large gap between highest and lowest can come from admitting applicants from privileged categories (льготники), so the lowest score is not a pass mark. The mean includes those admitted on privileged-category quotas and targeted places, which can pull it down.

The testing centre ranks admissions on the main test only, because universities require different subject tests. Subject-test scores also count in the competition for many specialties; they are not in these tables and the comparison here does not model them.

The tables cover admission on ORT results. Universities of culture and the arts, and physical-culture and sport specialties, admit on their own entrance examinations and are not in them. The report says applicants to the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Military Institute, AUCA and UCA, and to specialties that need extra tests, must also pass those universities' own tests.

These figures are for applicants admitted on ORT results. Under the government's admission rules, foreign citizens may instead take the university's own entrance tests, and their admission can run until 15 October.
