Graduating and getting your degree are two different things

In Mexico you become an egresado when you finish your coursework, and a titulado only once you complete the titulación process — a thesis, an exam or equivalent. Plenty of people never do, which is why both counts appear on every page here.

We deliberately don't turn them into a percentage. Titulados in any given year include people who finished their coursework years earlier, so dividing one by the other compares two different groups of people — do it across these institutions and you get figures from 0% to 280%. The two counts are honest; the ratio isn't.

Studying outside Mexico?

Spain teaches in Spanish and publishes cost, cut-offs and graduate employment. The US is the biggest destination for Mexican students — and we price it the way an international applicant actually pays.
