🇫🇷 14,079 formations · 770,362 places

France tells you what grades got in.

Parcoursup publishes the bac mention of every admitted student, formation by formation. That makes it possible to answer the question that actually matters: with the results you expect, where did people like you get a place?

Formations

77% of them selective — the rest admit by right.

Entry data

publish a usable mention profile of admitted students — the grades of everyone who got in. Almost none of our other countries publish anything like it.

Median graduate salary

€2 177

net per month, 18 months after finishing, across 227 institutions.

Tuition, 2025-26

€178 or €2 895

a year for a licence — the first if you're an EU/EEA or Swiss citizen, the second if you aren't.

The tuition figure depends on your passport

French public universities don't compete on price — the droits nationaux are set for the whole country by ministerial order, so a licence costs the same at every one of them. But that rate, €178 for 2025-26, applies to EU/EEA and Swiss citizens. Everyone else pays the droits différenciés: €2 895 a year, sixteen times more. Add the €105 CVEC either way.

If you are a non-EU applicant, don't assume the exemption. Universities have historically waived the differentiated rate for most international students, and a decree of 19 May 2026 caps how many of their foreign enrolments they may exempt: 30% in 2026-27, 25% in 2027-28, 20% after that. Check the specific university's policy for your intake year before you budget.

Where the outcomes data stops

Employment and salary figures come from InserSup and are published per institution, not per formation — so they describe the university, not the specific course. They cover 227institutions, roughly half of the larger ones, and none of the lycée-based BTS and CPGE, which don't appear in a graduate survey at all. Where a figure is missing we say so rather than showing a zero.
